United Containers (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a locally owned private company with over 30 years of service operating Fiji’s largest container depot with hire and sales capability.
A vacancy exists for a ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ to be based at its ๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐จ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ญ.
Primary responsibilities include:
โ๏ธ Booking in the system and co-ordinating deliveries of containers arriving at, or leaving the container yard, as well as arranging container hire to customers.
โ๏ธ Liaising with drivers regarding their container requirements
โ๏ธ Entering information regarding deliveries, release/voyage details and other logistical matters on computer systems
โ๏ธ Responsible for updating the container movements daily, completing various reports either weekly or monthly
โ๏ธ Respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner (via email, phone or in person)
โ๏ธ Process all repair and wash bay documents by entering into the system and filing away the worksheets. Email the details to Depot Manager/operations Manager and Team Leaders.
โ๏ธ Check on a weekly basis with shipping companies on any releases (whether valid or otherwise)
โ๏ธ Undertake monthly container stock take in the yard for each client and report findings to Operations Manager.

โ๏ธ Computer literacy, as the role might involve using a number of purpose-built computer systems, as well as a number of other software applications

โ๏ธ Must be able to work weekends, public holidays and after hours as required especially when vessels come in
โ๏ธ High level of honesty, integrity, respect and collaboration
โ๏ธ Work autonomously with little supervision
โ๏ธ Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to adapt to situations

โ๏ธ Must have completed High School
โ๏ธ Previous experience with containers or shipping would be ideal but not essential
โ๏ธ Must have a clean police record
โ๏ธ A University diploma in operations, logistics, or customer service will be a plus
โ๏ธ Proven experience of 3 years as a Container Controller, knowledge of container operations and shipping procedures will be an added advantage
โ๏ธ Knowledge on maritime regulations including OHS and handling dangerous good
