To offer our customers an overall transparent, consistent and easy shipping experience, Maersk Line will be redefining our global compensation basics of Demurrage, Detention and Storage with effect from 1 March 2020.
We will be introducing Export Demurrage & Detention structure to align with the new global practices.
New Combined Export Demurrage & Detention
Going forward, Fiji customers will be offered Combined Demurrage & Detention for export shipments. This means you will have one combined free time period and compensation for utilisation of equipment inside and outside of terminals or depots, from gate out empty to Actual Load, referred to as Combined Demurrage & Detention Import.
